Why did Cut The Chain take so long to release?

Jason James began recording Cut The Chain in 2022, but production stalled after a combination of personal difficulties and funding shortfalls. James later connected with Heart of Texas Records founder Tracy Pitcox, which gave him the resources to return to Nashville and finish the project. After bassist Dave Roe died unexpectedly, James completed the album at Roe’s studio in his memory.
