Downtown Nashville and SoBro vs. Lower Broadway and East Nashville

SoBro sits directly south of Lower Broadway and shares its geography but not its format. Broadway is free, continuous, and tourist-facing. SoBro venues are mostly ticketed, seated, and industry-facing — the Ryman, 3rd and Lindsley, and The Listening Room are where the business of Nashville music gets done in public.

East Nashville is the local scene. SoBro is the professional scene. Broadway is the show. All three are within a mile of each other.

Getting there: Bridgestone Arena, the Ryman, and the Country Music Hall of Fame cluster within two blocks on Rep. John Lewis Way. 3rd and Lindsley and The Listening Room are a 5-minute drive south into SoBro proper. Street parking is limited; the Third Avenue South garage is the most reliable option for SoBro venues.
